EAS Advisory – NOAA Service Interruption

NOAA_logoThe Pack Monadnock NOAA Weather Radio transmitter will go off the air Monday, June 6 for FAA contractors to perform asbestos remediation at the site.  The current plan is for the transmitter to be down for 1 to 2 days.  We will be airing an announcement on the station later this week, but I wanted to give each of you a heads-up in case you need to pass the information on to others.  Our announcement will indicate a slightly longer “off-the-air” period with the hope/expectation that we may be able to bring the transmitter back online sooner.

“Station WNG-575  broadcasting at a frequency of 162.525 Megahertz from Pack Monadnock Mountain in Peterborough, NH will be off the air for maintenance from 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 6 until approximately 4:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016 due to site maintenance.”
