(July 6, 2018) – The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has reopened its Electronic Test Reporting System (ETRS). Now it’s up to every broadcast licensee – and cable franchise – in America to login and update its Form 1 station information.
The deadline for the updates is August 27, 2018.
The ETRS is an online portal that all broadcasters must utilize to report on their success in rebroadcasting national tests of the Emergency Alert System (EAS). The last national EAS test was in September 2017. The next one is scheduled for Thursday, September 20 at 2:18 p.m. EDT. A separate Form 1 is required for each EAS endec in service.
