Franklin Pierce University is seeking a Media Technical Specialist to join their team on the Rindge, NH campus. This is a full-time, exempt, benefit eligible position reporting to the Director of the Fitzwater Center. As the Media Technical Specialist, this position is expected to provide production leadership, assistance and technical support services to the University departments and programs, as well as maintaining the Fitzwater Center production facilities and equipment.
Within this role, the Media Tech Specialist serves as the technical advisor for the Pierce Media Group (student media outlets), and delivers professional development for faculty, staff and students. This position also teaches within the curriculum – one class per semester on social media or related discipline. The Media Tech Specialist duties also include, but are not limited to: video and audio production, podcasting, webcasting and live streaming.
A Master’s degree in media production, communication production or another relevant discipline is preferred. The equivalent in technical certifications and experience will be considered. A minimum of three years of experience in a communications technical support environment is required. The candidate must have strong audio and video streaming skills, experience in problem solving and process improvements and must have excellent communication, documentation and interpersonal skills. Previous teaching experience is required.
